I thought this might be the FUEL RAIL PRESSURE SENSOR but have no idea. This piece I am trying to identify sits right on top of the fuel rail and has a little dipper that actually dips into the fuel rail. My fuel pump starts his, my FPDM starts his and this little piece I have no idea about what it does or what it is called, starts his truck. I should add, fortunately I am able to take the parts off of my truck and try them in my buddies truck which happens to be the exact same truck, just different color. I have located a piece that connects on top of the fuel rail, it has a vacum line going to it and a 4 wire hook up, removed this piece and put a different one in and still no luck. I don't know where to check for this SENSOR. I read the code from the check engine light and I get a P0191 - Fuel Rail pressure Sensor. I have removed the FUEL PUMP DRIVER MODULE and put in a different one and no such luck, no power. I have taken out the fuel pump and installed a different one and no such luck, no power turning it on. When I turn the key but not all the way I should hear the pump kick in but it doesn't.
If I pour a bit of gas into the throttle body the truck will start and run fine until that gas burns up and then it stalls out. The fuel pump will not turn on at all, no power going to it.
